Chuck Trunks has lived in Ventura County for the last 20 years and has made Camarillo, California his home for the past 14 years. After studying fine art and art appreciation at the Barnes Foundation in Philadelphia, Chuck moved to Raleigh, NC where he obtained a B.S. in biochemistry and did graduate work in the area of molecular biology at North Carolina State University. Chuck spent most of his professional career at Amgen in Thousand Oaks, CA where he held positions in the areas of research, manufacturing, information systems, quality and business analysis. Today, Chuck works as a full-time artist creating precision abstracts that reflect the relevant and popular issues that influence our social and cultural well-being.
When it became clear to me that I had developed a signature style that was consistently being recognized in the art community, I figured I could no longer pursue my dream of becoming a successful artist on a part-time basis. So, after a 20 year career, I left my corporate job in the biotech industry to concentrate on extending my portfolio into new themes and to share my colorful work with people around the world. My love of creating original art coupled with the need to offer social and cultural commentary about the world we live in is what drives my passion.
